Last weekend my girl’s and I headed to the Skagit Valley Tulip Fields – if you’re not from the PNW, this is a Spring tradition where hundreds of thousands people visit the crops of RoozenGaarde in Mount Vernon, WA to see the beautiful tulips bloom & (of course) take enough photos to fill their Insta feed for days.
If you ask anyone, they will tell you – wear boots! It happened to be a warm, sunny day when we visited, however, mud and puddles were still hanging around (which made the kids happy…me not so much). But it did give me a chance to wear my new red rainboots by Western Chief. :)
And the littles, of course, had their own…and yes I’m going to have them match as long as possible. #ImThatMom
I’ve come to realize, living in Washington, we wear rainboots year-round. Whether it’s tromping through puddles in the Fall, mucking through slush and ice in the Winter, or gardening in the Summer – they are a definite staple with constant use.
Thankful for dry toes and happy kids. ♥
So boots in the rain and boots in the dirt – there’s always a use for them, am I right?
What do you think of the red?? The girl’s and I are usually very ‘pink-everything’ so it was fun to mix it up – what color from HERE is your favorite?
