Known for lush evergreens, rainy skies and a salty coastline, the Northwest embodies vibrant hughes of green, blue and grey. It has become our calling card, and though we do have remarkably sunny moments and sensational sunsets, we know that without those drizzly days, our land would neither be the same nor nearly as beautiful. Inspired by the color tones of their founding city, Brooks launched the Northwest Pack in their Heritage Footwear Collection.
Originally born in 1982, the legendary Brooks Chariot was one of the most worn running shoes by runners in the eighties. Our rejuvenated award-winner features many of the same tech qualities pioneered during the decade. A medial wedge for pronation control, molded tri-layer insole for cushioning, solid rubber outsole, reflective hits for visibility – this shoe blew legwarmers out of the water.
Please note: The Chariot pays tribute to its original design, but this modern refresh is not a performance running shoe. As everyday kicks, you may wish to choose a half size smaller than your Brooks running shoes.
I took them for a test drive and love how comfortable they are. Paired with jeans and brunch, it’s obvious their cool card from the 80’s still reigns.
Paying tribute to Seattle’s legendary NBA team – the SuperSonics – these colors will always feel true to our city.
And maybe one of my favorite, yet most subtle features – the Seattle skyline sockliner…
Which color is your fave? Obviously I’m crushing hard for the ‘Sonic’ & ‘Seahawk’ vibes, but really they’re all a perfect balance of style + comfort + classic-cool.
Disclosure: Brooks graciously provided me with product to try and review. The opinions expressed here represent my own, which I take great pride in providing pure honesty…because I’m OBSESSED with sharing the Good!
