Every once in a while you meet someone with such incredible talent it completely blows your mind. I had the pleasure of working with Kjaisa Gifford recently on a living room makeover project and I can’t even begin to tell how brilliant she is. Her talent? Geometric wall art. In just one day she transformed one entirely plain wall into a masterpiece.
Obviously I am a minimalist when it comes to design and being a somewhat (okay major) A-type person, I appreciate the pattern methodology, especially when it relates to a modern composition. Kjaisa has been designing wall art for a few years and clearly has the trade down to a science…well math actually – since the entire process is completely analytical, taking measurements, crunching numbers and developing the perfect design for each space.
Local to the Seattle area, Kjaisa is expanding her portfolio to include both residential and commercial – I mean she is a PNW coffee shop’s dream, right? Who doesn’t love a good Instagram wall these days?!
In addition to the beautiful wall art, I had the opportunity of partnering with Mohawk Home to find a rug that complimented the new space. I was immediately drawn to the Francesca for the cozy cream color and detailed design, anticipating it would pair well with the wall…and it was perfect.
To inspire your next project, here are a few designs, by Kjaisa, created for past clients…
