One of my very best friends is Minnesota-Made so obviously I have a special place in my heart for anything coming from this part of the MidWest. So when I heard about the Minnesota founded company, Sweathouse Brands, which produces Saucha Spray – Get The Funk Out & the Sweathouse Towel Collection I was intrigued.
In one of my earlier posts, How to Clean Workout Clothes, I detailed how to give your sweaty gym gear a thorough clean which involved soaking, washing, drying, etc. It works fantastic and I highly recommend doing it as often as possible…but then there are those times that you don’t have time to wash your stinky clothes right away and they sit…and sit…and sit (fun fact: bacteria in our sweat sets into fabric just 2 hours after sweating!). In walks your solution…Saucha Spray – Get The Funk Out ($14)! This is an ingenious creation! The amazing combo of vinegar, lavender and castor oil provides the perfect antibacterial properties needed to prevent bacteria (aka = nasty smell) from setting in fabrics.
It’s super easy to use – you can spray the fabrics as you wear them right after the gym, or right before you toss in the laundry basket…a little word to the wise – spray the fabric where it touches a “Y” region on your body (armpits for example). I tested Saucha Spray – Get The Funk Out on several sweaty items and it worked! It really worked! Smell-be-gone! #Impressed
Sweathouse Brands has another product which I completely adore, the Sweathouse Towel Collection ($10 Set of 2). Beautifully designed, soft, absorbent towels which are multi-purpose (love)! They are a perfect gym towel to wipe away your sweat (without shedding and leaving microfibers on your skin), using to stretch, cradling your neck during an ab routine, or even wiping down your yoga mat using the Saucha Spray – Get The Funk Out! They originated from the flour sack dish towel, and have the same lasting power and durability…only getting softer over time.
I must add that Patty, creator of Sweathouse Brands is one of the sweetest people. She was kind enough to offer me her products to test out AND she sent me a gift – an UrbanHalo headband! Check out this ADORABLE Pink Chevron headband ($15) – totally me right?! It’s like we’re best friends already :) I sure do love Minnesota. ♥
