Fresh Pick for Summer: ZICO Watermelon Raspberry Coconut Water! I just tried this flavor and am obsessed…catch is I always have to share with my little. :)
ZICO Coconut Water is amazing after a long run, especially on a sweltering day like today (yep mid-high 70’s is hot in the PNW). It is actually rumored to hit 91 degrees this weekend – you better believe every single person will have their swimsuit on and finding the nearest beach (or at least kiddie wading pool). In the PNW we celebrate when the sun comes out – it’s like this beautiful gift for enduring countless months of rain.
Coconut water is definitely unique and different brands vary drastically with their flavor (& even texture!), but I find that ZICO is by far the most ‘clean’ tasting, as it has zero artificial flavors, preservatives and no added sugar. The varieties, including watermelon raspberry, pineapple and chocolate (!!) are light, yet divinely delicious. Obviously if my two year-old will steal sips – it must be good.
Besides the obvious of hitting a max on the yum factor, ZICO is actually really good for you (win/win). Loaded with potassium, this premium coconut water is also “free of fat, cholesterol, gluten, dairy, and lactose.” (ZICO.com)
I know I mentioned a yummy ZICO cocktail recipe coming up here, but for the past several weeks I’ve been training for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon so have been trying to keep my indulgence to a minimum. I just recently conquered the race, though, so stay tuned…or shall I say thirsty?
