Let’s be honest, who doesn’t want to look super fly when running? Even though I have yet to master the stunning runner’s stride (you know that beautiful weightless look – like you are running on clouds…yeah not me…yet…but I sure will keep trying!), I can still rock clothes that look and feel amazing and keep me pushing towards that extra mile. Enter one of my fave obsessions: Brooks PureProject Apparel.
You already know from my recent post, Run Trail Happy, that I LOVE Brooks running shoes, specifically the PureGrit 3, so when I had the opportunity to test out their apparel I was more than game. When I crush on fitness fashion – I fall hard, so get ready…
Spring is in the air so it’s natural to switch up your fitness gear, whether it be for running, cross-training or yoga…a little more skin is bound to start peeping through. And this is EXACTLY why I LOVE the PureProject SL II top. It is ridiculously comfortable with a split back hem that allows for breathability (and a dash of flirty). The cling-free relaxed fit is great for any body type, allowing you to concentrate on the task (aka run) at hand versus constantly fidgeting. My preference for wearing the PureProject SL II top is when I’m running, muscle conditioning or another cardio-type exercise. Or….throw on a cute pair of skinny jeans and boots – and it would make an adorable date night outfit (remember I said the back is a bit flirty!). Talk about versatility…
Then there’s the Brooks PureProject Ombre Capri…ADORE! I have 3 major quirks when searching for a good pair of workout pants – the waistband, flexibility & length. This Capri covered all the bases – the waistband is thick, providing exactly the coverage I wanted (low rise pants are easy to slip during running so I avoid), while the amazing compression and flexible DNA fabric keep everything tight while in movement. In regards to the length, I have an obsession with a good capri (they just fit my body style better than full-length and for some reason – make everything easier). Even though I typically opt for black pants, the Midnight/Ballet Ombre color just called my name…it was fun to mix things up a bit.
Spring is one of my favorite seasons to run…warmth with a crispness still in the air, which is why I totally dig the Brooks Infiniti Headband – keeps you warm if needed, or wicks away moisture when you start to heat up. Perfect balance…and it’s cute, right?!
So there you have it – a few of my favorite Spring pieces from Brooks to get you amped for running or really just living an active life. I swear the key to maintaining movement is to be comfortable. Run Happy my friends. ♥
