Truth: I do not wear makeup everyday. Don’t get me wrong – I love getting dolled up, but, my daily routine as a ‘stay at home mom’ includes preschool pick up/drop off, working out, running errands, chores, writing and chasing after a 2 and 4 year old…so, yes, I am that bare-faced, legging clad mom you see at Costco. My kids think I’m beautiful no matter what so I feel okay when I’m in their company – but then, of course, there are those gorgeous moms who look put together all of the time – I envy them with their tousled waves, skinny jeans, & (stilettos?!) walking around Target like it’s not a big deal – It’s totally a big deal!
So, with that said, on days when I need a ‘quick fix’ – playdate, appointment, meeting – when I’m seeing people outside of the gym & home, I have realized you can actually pull yourself together with 2 beauty items: Mascara & Lip Gloss. These little gems can do wonders – trust me.
Enter my OBSESSION: Fiber Lashes. I’m sure most (if not all) of you have heard of Younique and their Moonstruck 3D Fiber Lashes. You probably have a friend, sister, cousin, etc. selling it – but have you tried it? Of course I was skeptical – but once I tested it out, looked in the mirror and saw that my lashes touched my eyebrows(!) – I immediately placed an order (as did all of my friends). I have been using it consistently for over a year and adore it. It’s easy to perfect the natural look (seen above) or you can glam it up by layering another coat and be daringly hot for a night out. It is by far the only mascara that provides intense lash length, does not melt and is water-resistant. Okay so here is the question everyone asks – how do I apply it?
Three simple steps to long, sexy lashes (courtesy of Youniqueproducts.com)
- Apply an even coat of Transplanting Gel to lashes.
- Immediately Apply Natural Fibers while Transplanting Gel is wet.
- Seal the fibers with Transplanting Gel. Repeat until you’ve reached desired fullness.
Easy right? If you still struggle you can check out a tutorial HERE. With all good intentions, I was planning on doing a video for you lovelies but when I realized how challenging it was just for me to take a pic of my lashes (way harder than it seems), I decided to save my videographer skills for a later post. :)
Now how about we have some fun? My darling friend, Lori, over at The Makeup Job, graciously provided me with a Fiber Lash set to GIVEAWAY! Enter via the Rafflecopter below. Ready -> Set -> Glam :)
Good Luck Babes!
