Today’s post is all about allergen-friendly airplane snacks that are free of 8+ major allergens and safe for 99% of people!
Anyone else get hungry on an airplane? Regardless if the flight is 60 minutes or 6 hours, for some reason, we immediately become ravenous the second that seatbelt light goes on. Is it the air pressure, boredom…or just the thought of that fun little snack cart rolling on by? Either way, we’re not a fan of paying a fortune on those little bento boxes, so we bring our own!
New to the mix are FreeYumm Bars and Cookies made with simple, clean ingredients and natural sweeteners. And they’re local – baked in North Vancouver, BC!
They’re individually wrapped, making them easy to add to your carry-on and they come in a variety of flavors – my personal favorites being Raspberry Chia Bars and Double Chocolate Cookies.
I’ve suffered from a few nut allergies since I was little, and have always avoided certain brands because of their ingredients, so I’m thankful for FreeYumm which offers an entire collection of nut-free treats!
I’ll also mention, even though my daughters don’t necessarily have any food sensitivities (as of yet), we try to limit the overuse of gluten, sugar, non-organic dairy, etc. since there are so many unhealthy players in today’s diet. Plus, kids are all about sharing (which we love!), so I know if they have FreeYumm in their bag, and they offer it to a friend, there will be no worries.
You can find FreeYumm at select retailers in the Northwest, including Red Apple, Thriftway and Metropolitan Market, as well as, on Amazon.com (Use promo code: FYIP2020 to get 20% off your first FreeYumm order).
A few of our other favorite airplane snacks include:
- WATER (bring an empty bottle and keep refilling on the flight)
- Cranberry juice (if the kids are craving something sweet)
- Apples
- Dried fruit
- Pretzels
- Popcorn
- Almonds (if allergy-free)
- Rice cakes
- Trail mix
- Jerky
- Carrot sticks
To celebrate the start of summer travel season, FreeYumm has offered a prize pack giveaway worth $50! Enter view the rafflecopter below!
