If you’ve talked to me in the past 6 months (or follow my Insta Stories), then you know I am completely immersed into podcasts. I listen to them at any moment where I can’t be hands-on productive with my MacBook. And I’ll be honest, it has me looking forward to the monotonous tasks of washing dishes or folding laundry…a little self-care, if you will. However, I log the most hours on iTunes in my car, since I drive quite a bit. I’ve been known to really get into a podcast and sit in my car just to finish the interview…they are just so good. But you have to find the right ones that you click with.
Since we’re planning a road trip with Peace Vans in May, I thought I would share my favorite podcasts to keep myself entertained on the road (Ben loves music and the girls prefer their Kindle Fires)…however, hope one of these podcasts strikes your interest!
The GaryVee Audio Experience
I recommend this podcast for everyone. It’s essentially entrepreneur-focused, but the value provided goes way beyond that – especially if you need that extra push to conquer a goal (personal or professional).
Welcome to The Garyvee Audio Experience, hosted by entrepreneur, CEO, investor, vlogger, and public speaker Gary Vaynerchuk. On this podcast you’ll find a mix of my #AskGaryVee show episodes, keynote speeches on marketing and business, segments from my DAILYVEE video series, interviews and fireside chats I’ve given, as well as new and current thoughts I record originally for this audio experience!
The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast
This podcast is definitely female-focused with so much wellness, beauty and skincare advice that you can’t help but hold onto every word (and fill your Amazon cart!). If you’re a social media influencer or blogger you will appreciate Lauryn’s insight on how to build a successful personal brand and her husband Michael provides unparalleled business advice. I also really love their chemistry – definitely an engaging, charismatic duo.
Welcome to The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Show hosted by entrepreneurs and brand builders Lauryn Evarts Bosstick and Michael Bosstick. On this show you’ll find a mix of audio entertainment including interviews with celebrities, entrepreneurs, influencers, experts, and thought leaders. You will also hear listener and audience questions answered on a weekly basis to answer questions on health, wellness, business, branding, marketing, and relationships.
Highest Self Podcast with Sahara Rose
I recommend this podcast if you’re interested in learning more about self-care, Ayurveda, and finding spiritual growth. Sahara conveys her message in a beautiful and relatable manner. Whether she’s talking about universal archetypes or past lives, it feels like a new awakening in every episode, urging you to learn more about your purpose.
Author and Wellness Personality Sahara Rose @IAmSaharaRose is the fresh young voice for the modern spiritual movement, called “a leading voice in the millennial generation into the new paradigm shift” by Deepak Chopra. In her podcast, she shares how you can tune into your unique gifts, find your purpose, live in your Dharma and blossom into your highest self. Happier with Gretchen Rubin
This podcast provides advice on how to mange your life more efficiently, ultimately creating a happier self. Gretchen and her sister provide a lighthearted conversation, showing how little changes in your daily routine can create a large impact on your overall wellbeing. I love their ‘try this at home’ at the beginning of every episode – happiness homework, if you will!
Gretchen Rubin is HAPPIER, and she wants you to be happier too. The #1 bestselling author of The Happiness Project and Better Than Before gets more personal than ever as she brings her practical, manageable advice about happiness and good habits to this lively, thought-provoking podcast. Gretchen’s cohost and guinea pig is her younger sister, Elizabeth Craft, a TV writer and producer living in Los Angeles, who (lovingly) refers to Gretchen as her happiness bully. Part of the Panoply Network.
The Tim Ferris Show
This podcast is extremely intriguing as Tim interviews the best of the best (in every field!). A true expert himself, Tim offers amazing tips on ultimate performance – exceeding expectations, and maximizing your potential.
Tim Ferriss is a self-experimenter and bestselling author, best known for The 4-Hour Workweek, which has been translated into 40+ languages. Newsweek calls him “the world’s best human guinea pig,” and The New York Times calls him “a cross between Jack Welch and a Buddhist monk.” In this show, he deconstructs world-class performers from eclectic areas (investing, chess, pro sports, etc.), digging deep to find the tools, tactics, and tricks that listeners can use.
The School of Greatness with Lewis Howes
This podcast will give you all the feels. Lewis provides insight on the true path to greatness by interviewing phenomenal people, sharing transparent stories and lessons learned along the way. Every show provides soulful inspiration that soaks in and resonates.

This podcast is probably the most specific one on the list, in that it really is just for bloggers. If you’re new to the online space or wanting to grow your existing audience, I highly recommend ProBlogger by Darren Rowse. He starts with the very basics on building a website, progressing into building a brand and monetizing…almost 240 episodes to date! Darren does a great job at explaining the fundamentals of blogging and easily transitions you into the next episode – so you never feel overwhelmed. I do recommend taking notes, though – so much good information!
The ProBlogger Podcast is designed to help you build a better blog. With a mix of teaching, case studies and actionable challenges Darren Rowse will teach you to create compelling content, find readers for your blog, deepen the engagement you have with those readers and to make money through a variety of income streams so that you can sustain your blogging. Darren has been been blogging since 2002 and making a full time living from his blogs for over a decade. His blogs Digital-Photography-School.com and ProBlogger.net are read by over 5 million readers per month. If you’re looking to take your blogs to the next level and make money online – this is the podcast for you.
The Influencer Podcast with Julie Solomon
This podcast is not only for bloggers, but also social media influencers and online marketers. Julie is a PR pro that knows the ins and outs of the business and how to best maximize both your reach and success. In addition to her own advice, she also includes guests that provide incredible value to the influencer space – bloggers, brands and strategists. A definite must on your playlist if you’re in the online business.
The Influencer Podcast is an innovative podcast that explores the secrets behind the ever-changing trends of influencer marketing and the careers of today’s top social influencers. Hosted by marketing strategist, New York Times best-selling publicist and influencer Julie Solomon, Julie and guests join in conversation to share how they engage, persuade and grow their unique influence, and how their work impacts the influencer industry. Julie brings you marketing and branding strategies with Amy Porterfield, Lauryn Evarts of The Skinny Confidential, Melyssa Griffin and more. Through each episode, learn how to strengthen, monetize and build your own industry-leading influence.
This post was definitely a passion project for me – I’ve been dying to share these for weeks…but maybe I’ve been too busy listening to podcasts? :)
On another note, since our upcoming road trip inspired this post, I also wanted to share what I’ll be packing in my suitcase → so much UNIQLO! If you read my previous post (or follow me on Instagram), then you know our family has been wearing the LifeWear brand on all of our recent adventures (Whistler and Stevens Pass to name a few). I love the variety of colors and classic staples that easily transition through the seasons, perfect for layering, as needed.
In this post I’m wearing the AIRism UV Cut Long-Sleeve Mesh Hoodie made with breathable fabric and DRY and Cool Touch technology. It packs easily, like most of the UNIQLO collections, making it perfect for travel – especially in a VW van with limited space!
Underneath the hoodie, I layered a Bra Top which is super soft and lightweight. It’s one of those styles you could use in every color. And when we’re on the road….I want nothing but comfort. Consider this my cozy car uniform. And likely my yoga, brunch, coffee date attire as well. ♥
And lastly, I’m excited to announce the details for the new UNIQLO store at Southcenter Mall! Join me for the GRAND OPENING on Friday, March 23rd at 10am! And enter to win a $250 gift card by visiting the new store that weekend – I’ll announce the details on my Instagram – so stay tuned!
