Mamma Chia…I love you. Because of you, my TWO year-old loves Chia Seeds and is OBSESSED with the Chia Squeeze. Every time she asks for one – my heart bursts with those feel good mommy moments. I mean, who doesn’t want their child asking for healthy stuff? So why do I love thee? Let me count the ways…
1. Convenience. First of all, let’s be real, as a Mom, the ‘snack in a pouch’ is probably one of the greatest food inventions. I don’t know about your sweet little toddler, BUT mine can be a hot mess, therefore I’m always looking for ways to keep her food more directed towards her mouth versus the floor. The Chia Squeeze is an adorably, SUPER CONVENIENT, snack that is made with organic chia seeds which are infused with yummy fruits and veggies.
2. Organic. Good for you, good for your family, & good for the planet. Need I say more?
3. 1200 Omega-3s + Fiber + Protein + Antioxidants. I am very conscientious about what I put into my body…my kids deserve the same right? It’s WAY too easy to get caught up in the ‘Disney’ snack trap and feed your littles unhealthy foods just because they have Dora on the package or are on sale (we’ve all done it!). It takes effort and perseverance, but showing your kids what healthy looks like is so incredibly important. (For those discouraged by this…just keep trying…trust me they are listening).
4. My kids love it & so do I. This snack is for EVERYONE! Even though I tend to save them for my kids because they love them so much, I am a BIG fan of the Green Magic Chia Squeeze because it has Kale, Spirulina and Chlorella, along with some sweetness from Bananas and Mangoes. My 4 year-old prefers Apple Cinnamon (she’s an applesauce fiend so this is always her go-to flavor). And Mamma Chia’s #1 Fan, my 2 year-old, adores all of the flavors but has a special thing for Strawberry Banana.

Okay, so now you’re obviously obsessed – where to buy? Um pretty much everywhere! I first discovered the Chia Squeeze at Costco, and now I pick up when on sale at Safeway! Here’s the store finder.

I add a spoonful of chia seeds to 1/2 cup old fashioned oats, 1 tsp ground flax, some cinnamon, and half a sliced banana. Microwave for 4 minutes at 50% and you have oat perfection!! It’s my breakfast five days a week!
Yum! Love this!! Major superfood breakfast :) Have you tried Mamma Chia products before?
I usually just throw chia on top of yogurt but I really want to try making chia jam! I’ve heard it’s so easy. Jam is something that can be empty calories so adding a superfood to it is always good in my book.
I have made chia jam and it is incredibly easy and crazy delicious!! Obsessed with Chia!!
